Talks about conscious consumption, the ecological crisis, climate change, slow fashion, and reuse are everywhere. But what can we actually do to support the planet?
For me, honesty and responsibility have always been at the heart of both my business and my life. That’s why I created O’Gem—a niche jewelry brand where I personally oversee every step of the process. From the initial idea and material selection to handcrafting each piece and shipping it to my customers, I take full responsibility for quality, ethical sourcing, and sustainability.
I choose sustainability. I work only with certified minerals, ensuring that every stone is ethically sourced in compliance with legal and environmental regulations. But I wanted to take it even further.
In 2024, I started collaborating with jewelers in the Netherlands who recycle antique and vintage jewelry. Many of these forgotten treasures hold natural gemstones of exceptional quality, but they are no longer in use.
I carefully select these gemstones, giving them a second life in my Eco-Chic collection. These are not just beautiful stones—they are fragments of history, now reborn in new O’Gem designs.
This is what I call true slow fashion—a conscious and responsible approach to jewelry, where beauty meets sustainability and the past finds new meaning in the present.
