One-of-a-kind art jewelry, made for real people — and the perfect fit.
Have you ever fallen in love with a ring, only to hesitate because the size doesn’t seem right?
Perhaps you’re shopping for yourself. Or maybe you’ve found an extraordinary piece for someone special and want to surprise them with a gift. You look at the ring, notice the size, and think: What a pity. It probably won’t fit.
Before you move on to another piece, let me tell you something important: the size you see on an O’Gem ring is not necessarily the size you have to buy.
In fact, there is a reason why I create my rings this way — and it has everything to do with what makes O’Gem jewelry unique.
One ring. One original. No duplicates.
At O’Gem, I don’t produce collections of identical rings in multiple sizes. I create each piece individually, combining natural gemstones, ceramic, unusual textures, and sculptural forms to create wearable works of art.
Every ring has its own character, shape, proportions, and presence. When a piece is finished, it exists as a single original.
There is no identical version waiting in another size. If you fall in love with a particular O’Gem ring, you are choosing that exact piece of art.
And this is precisely why choosing the right size works a little differently here than it does with conventional jewelry.
Why are so many O’Gem rings made in smaller sizes?
You may have noticed that many rings on my website are listed in sizes 16 or 17 (European sizing).
This is intentional.
My rings often feature sculptural designs, substantial gemstones, and complex ceramic forms. Their construction is not always comparable to that of a traditional gold or silver band.
When I create a ring in a smaller size, I can often enlarge it later to accommodate a larger finger. However, making a finished ring smaller can be much more complicated. It may require substantial reconstruction and, depending on the design and materials, may not be possible without changing the original piece.
By creating many of my rings in smaller sizes, I preserve more flexibility. If you need a larger size, I can often adjust the ring to fit you while keeping its original design intact.
The smaller size you see on the website is often a starting point, not a limitation.
Your size might be different. Your ring can still be the one.
Do you wear a European ring size 20, 21, or even larger?
Please don’t assume that O’Gem rings are only for people with very slender fingers.
My jewelry is created for people who appreciate art, individuality, and the confidence to wear something different. Fingers come in all shapes and sizes, and beautiful jewelry should be enjoyed by everyone who connects with it.
If you find a ring you love and need a larger size, simply tell me your required size when placing your order.
I can enlarge the ring at no additional charge and without an extended waiting period. I will handle your order individually and let you know if a particular design requires a different approach.
But please, don’t rule out your favourite ring just because the number on the product page is smaller than your own size.
Buying a ring as a gift? Here’s what to do.
I know that buying a ring for someone else can be stressful, especially when you want to keep the gift a surprise.
You might know their usual size, have an existing ring to compare, or be making your best guess. And when you find a one-of-a-kind piece, you don’t want to miss the opportunity simply because you’re unsure whether it will fit.
Here is my advice:
- Found the perfect ring? Don’t dismiss it just because of the listed size.
- Know the recipient’s ring size? Enter their required size in the order notes at checkout.
- Not sure about the size? Get in touch before purchasing, and I’ll help you work out the best next step.
- Buying a surprise gift? You can contact me privately to discuss the available options.
The important thing is to ask. You don’t need to navigate the sizing question alone.
Made individually, for you
O’Gem is a small, independent jewelry brand built around a very personal approach to making and wearing art.
I don’t have a warehouse filled with identical rings in every size. I have original pieces, each created through an individual artistic process. And when someone chooses one of them, I want that person to feel confident about their purchase.
That is why I look at every order individually. A size adjustment, when possible, is simply part of the personal attention that comes with choosing an original piece of art jewelry.
The goal is not to make every ring identical or perfectly uniform. It is to preserve what makes each piece special while helping it become part of your life.
Because a ring should be more than something that fits your finger. It should be something you feel connected to — something you are excited to wear.
Found your ring? Let’s make it work.
If there is an O’Gem ring you can’t stop thinking about, don’t let the size be the reason you leave it behind.
Choose the piece that speaks to you. Tell me the size you need when placing your order, or contact me if you have any questions before buying.
I’ll personally review your request and help you find the best possible solution.
